Quietboard - Floor Soundproofing

Quietboard - A part - recycled waterproof, cement impregnated high-density acoustic flooring board designed to reduce airborne noise penetration.

QuietBoard is a revolutionary, waterproof, cement impregnated high-density acoustic floor panel designed to reduce airborne noise transfer through separating floors. QuietBoard installed on top of Acousticel R10 resilient insulation provides a very efficient and stable floating floor and helps meet Part E Resistance to the Passage of Sound when building flats.

Cement impregnated chipboard is now specified in the Approved Document E as the best material for this application. It is quick to install and is easily cut to size. QuietBoard Acoustic Flooring is constructed from two well-established building materials - recycled wood particles and cement.

Made from 75% recycled sawdust obtained from timber sourced from sustainable forests. QuietBoard is a very dense product, light grey in colour and both faces have a hard smooth flat surface. They are non-toxic, contain no flammable materials and generate no toxic fumes during combustion.

How A Shipping Container Floor Is Constructed

www.out-backstorage.com
I'm often asked about the flooring of the shipping containers I sell. People want to know how thick the wood flooring is, which direction the cross members run, how thick the cross members are, etc. I recently took a new 20' storage container into stock that had a damaged floor. The floor of the shipping container was pushed up a bit in the back corner which prompted me to remove that section of flooring in order to re-install it properly. While doing so, I thought it would be a great opportunity to shoot some video of how they're put together. You can check out my inventory at http://www.obsri.com.
